McPherson L. A Tɔmmɔ-Sɔ - English - French Dictionary
(выходные данные не указаны) 2009. — 385 p.
The following lexicon is based on Dr. Jeffrey Heath’s Comparative Lexical Spreadsheet. Some glosses have been modified to better reflect Tɔmmɔ-Sɔ meanings, while other entries have been added or deleted entirely. The transcription system used in this dictionary differs slightly from the transcriptions in Dr. Heath’s work. First, long vowels are written with two vowels with tone noted on each more [v́ v̀] rather than with the IPA length marker [v̂ː].Second, nasality is expressed with a tilde over the vowel [ṽ] rather than with a superscript ‘n’ [vn]. Finally, the palatal nasal is written with IPA [ɲ] rather than as [ñ]. Those cases where [ñ] is written, it is used to represent a segment I have no yet been able to analyze comprised of some nasal and palatal features. I have chosen this transcription system because I feel it accurately depicts the sound system while at the same time remaining close to writing systems currently used in West Africa (ex. for Bambara or Akan).
