Research article. — Organic Communications. — 2014. — 7 (1). — Р. 28-33.A simple and efficient asymmetric synthesis of (S,S)-Ethambutol has been carried out using a chiral butanediol. The synthesis was completed within six steps with an overall yield 53% and the enantiomeric purity of final product was 98%. All the reactions were very clean and the yields are excellent.
