"Fundamental Byelorussian" appears in two books containing a total of twenty-nine units organized into five major sections. Section I, II and III are contained in Book 1, sections IV and V - in Book 2.
The text is structured to present a short but complete course of Byelorussian phonetics (rules of pronunciation and spelling), and morphology (rules of inflection and word formation).
Each unit is compiled on the basis of the following structure:
A text for reading - a story or dialogue with an accompanying vocabulary.
A section of grammar. i.e.:
a) Rules of pronunciations and spelling, which are indicated by the Byelorussian letter "Ф" in the text, and
b) rules of infection and word-formation.
3.Exercises for written and oral work.
Each book is concluded with comprehensive Byelorussian-English and English-Byelorussian vocabularies.
