Репродуктивная медицина — это отрасль медицины, касающаяся мужской и женской репродуктивной системы. Он включает в себя различные репродуктивные состояния, их профилактику и оценку, а также их последующее лечение и прогноз. К концу нынешнего века репродуктивная медицина вобрала в себя достижения многих наук: гинекологии и андрологии, биологии и генетики, цитологии и криобиологии. Репродуктивная медицина занимается вопросами полового воспитания, полового созревания, планирования семьи, контроля над рождаемостью, бесплодия, заболеваний репродуктивной системы (включая заболевания, передаваемые половым путем) и сексуальной дисфункции.
